I crafted this ointment with the intent for use before bed, mediation, divination, honoring the dead, and during Samhain. I make my witches flying ointment with grass fed tallow, organic Artemisia absinthium (wormwood) herb, organic Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort) herb, and organic rosemary oil. Wormwood is also known as absinthe and is traditionally used to commune with the dead. Mugwort is traditionally associated with dreaming, sleep, and protection. Mugwort is said to open the third eye. Rosemary is traditionally associated with sleep and memory. Wormwood, mugwort, and rosemary are traditionally used for aches and pains. If you enjoy working with wormwood or mugwort you may enjoy this witches flying ointment. Other popular ways to use this ointment are before ritual and spell work. To use, apply a pea size amount to the pulse points avoiding contact with mucus membranes. Some like to place it on their temples, forehead, or bottom of the feet. Ointments differ for everyone. If you have a great connection with Artemisias you may also enjoy this salve. Artemisias, wormwood and mugwort, are associated with the Goddess Artemis. Made in very small batches. Herbal salve is for external use only. Don't use artemisias while pregnant/breastfeeding. Research is recommend before using thujone containing wormwood and mugwort. Keep ointments away from kids and pets. Store ointment away from heat and sunlight. These are natural, salve color may differ slightly. It's recommend to consult with your doctor before using herbal products. Anoint yourself before forest bathing or studying. Mugwort, wormwood and rosemary are the herbs used in this ointment. They are used topically and not meant to intoxicate, but are meant to be used ritually as a tool before bed, meditation, divination, spell work, etc. Working with this ointment is just one way to connect with mugwort, wormwood, rosemary, and history. When pure tallow is used to make a balm, and no other oils or fats are used, the surface of the balm can look to have white blotches. This is totally normal and is just how the tallow balm cools.

A.K.A. Green Salve, Mugwort Salve, and Dream Salve.

This is my new recipe including tallow and excluding my previously used olive oil and beeswax.
